Function

Teaching

The Vice-Rector for Education and Welfare is responsible for the development and enhancement of the University's teaching missions in relation to the Deans’ Offices, the Direction générale de l'enseignement, the SMAQ, and the administrative and student services. In this capacity, she chairs the University Council for Education and Training (CUEF). Specifically, the Vice-Rector:

  • is concerned with defining an innovative vision of educational programmes and teaching methods in accordance with the evolution of society;
  • ensures the quality of training courses, including further training, and in this context coordinates pedagogical initiatives, support for success programmes, and pedagogical research;
  • ensures consistency in the planning of resources to meet the University's teaching needs, particularly with regard to investment in teaching projects and academic and scientific posts;
  • highlights the training offer of the Institution and supports the development of an "alumni" policy at the institutional level;
  • ensures that the policies and regulations relating to studies are respected and updated in collaboration with the administrative services and Deans’ Offices;
  • is responsible for institutional representation on any relevant committees as well as on regional and international bodies;
  • ensures that measures are put in place to achieve the University's educational objectives.

Welfare

The Vice-Rector for Education and Welfare is responsible for defining and promoting a general policy on the quality of life and well-being at work for everyone at the University, in conjunction with the Administrator, the HR services, the student services, the ARI and the occupational prevention and protection services. Specifically, the Vice-Rector:

  • coordinates projects at the institutional level related to staff development, physical health, psychological well-being and the improvement of daily working conditions;
  • examines requests and survey projects to measure and identify risks to people's well-being and ensures that follow-up is carried out in collaboration with actors in the field;
  • ensures the harmonisation, clarification and fairness of management practices within the institution;
    develops the institutional policy of equal opportunity at work in partnership with the relevant services;
  • ensures the sharing of good practices in the field of well-being at work throughout the Institution.
