ike the ascent of a cycling pass, one of his passions, the journey that led Alexandre Mouton to obtain this grade in Motor Sciences proved to be as difficult and varied as the ascent of Mont Ventoux... "After a first part of the pass with light and regular slopes concretized in 2008 of my degree and aggregation (AESS) in physical education, the most formidable percentages stood up against me during the realization of my doctoral thesis on the promotion of physical activity among seniors. It was therefore essential to find the right pace of ascent between the important pedagogical supervision provided as an assistant in the Service d'Intervention et Gestion en Activités Physiques (SIPAGS) of Professor Marc Cloes and the necessary relaunches to carry out doctoral research. "After a short recovery period following the defence of his thesis in December 2014, Alexandre Mouton tackles the second part of the ascent - "less steep but much more exposed", diversifying his experiences within and outside the university context. "My most beautiful achievements to date are the generalization of first aid training in physical education among secondary school students in FWB following my studies on the subject, or the progressive expansion of Prescription Sport for which I have been involved as a worker's ankle since the beginning of its development. The summit of the pass materialized by the obtaining of this course load in Motor Sciences in October 2019 is finally only a first step towards, I hope, a great tour within a dynamic and moving team embodied by the University of Liège ! "

Teaching, research and dissemination of knowledge

"In my opinion, university teachers should be able to position themselves as cornerstones between the different actors of society around them. It is therefore a balance between its orientation towards research and its optimal dissemination to the outside world (collaborators, students, the general public, authorities) that should drive its daily action. This articulation is not the easiest and I am committed to bringing together research lessons and their understanding, dissemination and application in the field. The research projects that give me the most satisfaction are those that, beyond their impact factor as recognized by the research community, lead to a concrete and lasting impact on the society in which we operate. Being a university teacher therefore means pushing for evidence-based reflexivity in order to optimize everyone's practices."
