anna-triandafyllidouShe has coordinated thirty international research projects and has published more than 160 articles and chapters in collective works, six authored books and 25 edited or co-edited books. Her most recent book, Rethinking Migration and Return in South-eastern Europe (2021), invites us to think differently about migration – considering it less as a linear path from origin to destination and more as a segmented model involving several localities and countries.

Anna Triandafyllidou's research in the fields of migration policy, cultural diversity management, nationalism and identity issues has become a reference point for both academics and policy makers.
The pandemic has clearly revealed cracks in the system of our dependency on temporary labour migration and the conditions under which temporary migrants are employed. I, and many others, are seizing the moment to show governments that now is the time to improve policies to better support our domestic operations but lead to more equitable conditions for migrants with pathways to citizenship in the long term. – Anna Triandafyllidou [1]

Anna Triandafyllidou is a member of the Board of Directors of IMISCOE (International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion in Europe), the largest European research network on migration and integration, the presidency of which will be assured by the CEDEM (University of Liège) in 2022. Prof. Triandafyllidou is also president of IMISCOE’s Editorial Board.
