ULiège and its graduates
"The Alumni of ULiège represent more than 80,000 graduates spread out over 118 countries throughout the world! A vast network with one thing in common: the University of Liège."
A word from the Rector
he Alumni of ULiège represent more than 80,000 graduates spread out over 118 countries throughout the world! A vast network, which has one thing in common: our University. Through memories, anecdotes, important events in student life such as exam sessions, or other more festive evenings, we are all connected.
The task, today, consists of strengthening these ties and of daring to travel the distances that separate us. The goals are many: seeking employment, need of specialised expertise in a given field, advice for relocation in a foreign country, aid in doctoral work, searching for speakers as part of seminars...the possibilities are endless!
Did you know? The term alumni derives from the Latin verb alere, which means "to nourish, feed, strengthen".
What I'm proposing to you today, is to take an active part in our cross-border Alumni community; this means being an ambassador, a spokesperson of our University; it means, finally, participating in the development of our network by sharing your experience, but also by getting involved regardless of the level.
To learn more, I invite you to visit the pages dedicated to you on our website; don't hesitate to contact the Alumni Follow-up service for any questions. Until we have the pleasure, perhaps, to see you again one day, I wish you fulfilment and success in your personal and professional lives.
Albert Corhay, alumnus ‘78
