Biography
Christine Biquet is a professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Liège, where she teaches Obligation and Contract Law, Consumer Credit and Mortgage Credit. From July 2005 to August 2023, she was also the academic director of the Specialised Master in Public Notary Law.
She has published various books and articles and is regularly invited as a speaker at various conferences in Belgium and abroad. In May 2018, she was elected General Rapporteur for the topic "Economical Vulnerability" during the international days of the "Association Henri Capitant" in Montreal and Ottawa. In November 2012 she was appointed as a guest lecturer at the universities of Hanyang (Séoul) and of Keio (Tokyo) as part of the Chair of the ¿Fondation pour le Droit Continental¿. In March 2008, she has been invited as a speaker at the "Université de Montreal", where she has been awarded the prestigious "Chaire Jean-Louis Baudouin en droit civil". Over the past years, she has been invited as a lecturer to several universities: Université de Paris II (Panthéon Assas), Université de Paris XI (Paris-Sud), Université de Louvain, Université de Fès.
