Biography
Amélie Mainjot is a clinician and a researcher. She graduated from the University of Liège (Belgium), where she also completed a 3-yr postgraduate program in Oral Rehabilitation. She got a Master of Science in Dental Materials Technology from Paris Descartes University (France) and a PhD degree from the University of Paris 13 and the University of Liège. Then, she spent 3 years as a researcher and a lecturer at the Paris Descartes University before becoming a Professor in Dental Biomaterials at the University of Liège. She is the co-founder and the Head of the Dental Biomaterials Research Unit (d-BRU). Her research interests include ceramics and composites (particularly CAD-CAM materials), and new treatment strategies development (notably for tooth wear). Her clinical activity as Head of Clinic in the department of Fixed Prosthodontics at the University Hospital of Liège is focused on esthetic and minimally-invasive dentistry, as well as multidisciplinary management of complex cases on teeth and implants. She lectures internationally, co-organizes master classes in esthetic dentistry in Liège, and is an active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. She is the author of numerous international publications about dental materials and esthetic dentistry and acts as a reviewer for international journals in the same field.
