Biography
Graduating with a degree in psychology (specialising in neuropsychology) from the University of Liège in 1999, Christine Bastin then did her doctoral thesis under the direction of Professor Martial Van der Linden, continuing her research in the Department of Cognitive Sciences at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences (ULg) on the theme of episodic memory function in normal ageing and amnesia.
Since joining Professor Eric Salmon's team at the Cyclotron Research Centre (ULg) in January 2007, she has focused on the study of memory problems in normal aging and neurodegenerative disorders (Alzheimer¿s disease, Mild Cognitive Impairment, frontotemporal dementia). Her work also focuses on the brain bases for episodic memory through fMRI and PET. She is currently a Research Associate at the F.R.S.-FNRS.
