Research agreements and services for third parties

Research agreements

By "research agreement", we mean:

  • any agreement concluded with a public body funding research
  • specifying precisely the domain and/or the subject of the research
  • providing for a specific budget, where appropriate by budget item (operation, equipment, personnel, etc.)
  • involving the University (through one of its benefit entities).

Services for third parties

By "services for third parties", we mean services for external beneficiaries, carried out as part of the University by members of the university personnel, by benefits entities. The third party beneficiaries of services are private or public (in particular, public bodies usually financing research, when they are acting in the context of an agreement that does not meet the definition of a research agreement).

The students and personnel of the academic institution are not considered third parties. (According to Article 39bis of the Law of 27 July 1971 on the financing and control of university institutions).
