The University of Liège is very active with its Euroregio-Meuse-Rhin partners. Teaching collaborations are developed with its neighbouring partners such as the University of Aachen (RWTH), Hasselt/Diepenbeek University in Flanders and Maastricht University in the Netherlands.

In the field of neurosciences, there is great collaboration, especially with the Masters co-organised with the European network EURON (European Graduate School of Neurosciences). This leads the Faculties of Medicine to organise their efforts and mutually reinforce research teams, notably with Maastricht University.

With Maastricht, projects are being developed that expand student and supervisor mobility, such as the Bachelors in Law programme. This programme includes an option of 30 credits shared between the two universities; or a joint Masters in Political Science with a specialisation in Science, Technology and Society.
