For more than ten years, the University of Liège has played a crucial role in the Open Access movement both nationally and internationally, thanks in particular to its solid institutional policy. ULiège stimulates innovation and supports the exchange dynamics with and between all possible stakeholders. In particular, ULiège participates in the Open Innovation movement by granting the business world and public operators access to its laboratories and the techniques developed there. An example in ethics and scientific integrity ULiège promotes quality research conducted by responsible researchers. ULiège encourages ethical practices and principles in the various research disciplines and the standards supported by national, sectoral and institutional codes of ethics (EURAXESS). These practices and principles are reaffirmed through its strategy for human resource management in research, recognized by the European Union. One world, one health As part of its approach to sustainability, the University of Liège wishes to structure and strengthen its contribution to international efforts to prevent and prepare for health challenges, in line with the One Health concept. By addressing jointly human, animal, plant and ecosystem health issues, the One Health concept invites all scientific disciplines to collaborate with each other and other societal players. The University of Liège wishes to capitalize on its strengths and multiple collaborations, internal, local, national and international, in its research, teaching and community service activities to make the most of our expertise and contribute to sustainable well-being. • More than 3,500 researchers are engaged in top-level research at ULiège. • Nearly 2000 agreements, representing a budget of 270 Mi€, are opening the way to new advances in every academic field. • ULiège has generated the creation of more than 150 spin-offs.
