Michel Moutschen has been the Vice-Rector for Research at the University of Liège since 1st October 2022. In this capacity, he collaborates with researchers, research councils and the administration to develop and implement the institutional strategy in the field of research and valorisation by promoting creativity, excellence, diversity, transdisciplinarity and the societal relevance of the research activities at ULiège.
Michel Moutschen is a doctor in biomedical and experimental sciences, a specialist in internal medicine and infectious diseases and a professor at the ULiège Faculty of Medicine. He teaches in the fields of immunology, immunopathology, infectious diseases and vaccinology. Since 2002, he has been the Head of the Department of General Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the University Hospital of Liège and Director of the HIV-AIDS Reference Centre.
