Protocol Management Department

Missions

When hosting Belgian and foreign personalities, the General Management Protocol Department ensures:

• the reception of Ambassadors during official visits and the organisation of visits
• relations with the Consular Corps
• support for the members of the academic body when hosting personalities within the faculties
• support of General Management when hosting personalities at demonstrations that it organises
• the organisation of the representation of the University of Liège at official Te Deum
• the organisation of the award ceremony for the Consular Corps Award
• the reception of foreign delegates as part of the bilateral agreements of the University of Liège with partner universities
• the organisation of official ceremonies and demonstrations related to the institutional academic body, such as the oath taking of new professors and teachers, the retirement dinner of outgoing professors, demonstrations for the presentation of the Wishes of the Rector to the University Community, ceremonies for delivery of the insignia of Doctors honoris causa and celebration of Doctors with thesis
