Protocol Management Department

Missions 

When welcoming Belgian and foreign dignitaries, the Directorate General's Protocol department is responsible for :

• welcoming Ambassadors on official visits and organizing visits
• relations with the Consular Corps
• supporting members of the Academic Corps when welcoming VIPs to the Faculties
• supporting the General Management in welcoming VIPs to events it organizes
• representing the Université de Liège at official Te Deum ceremonies
• organizing the Prix du Corps Consulaire award ceremony
• welcoming foreign delegations as part of the Université de Liège's bilateral agreements with partner universities
• the organization of official ceremonies and events linked to the institutional academic body, such as the swearing-in of new lecturers, the dinner for retired professors, events to mark the presentation of the Rector's best wishes to the university community, and the awarding of honorary doctorates and honorary doctorates with theses.
