In 2020, there are only 6 centers approved at European level to provide this training. To date, Professor Marlier has trained a resident (Dr Deflers) and participated in the training of a second resident (Dr Gandar) who have both passed very brilliantly their respective ECZM exams, the first in small mammal medicine and the second in herpetology. Currently Professor Marlier has started the training of a third resident, Dr Thilliez who is assistant in the Department of Zoological Medicine at CVU.
Along with his activities in Zoological Medicine, Professor Marlier has always been actively involved in poultry and farmed rabbits, regardless of farm sizes. In this context and in anticipation of structural changes in food production, Professor Marlier followed specific training and obtained in 2019 a university certificate in Urban and Peri-Urban agriculture.
