Biography
Antoine Dechêne holds a PhD from the Université de Liège, Belgium. He currently works as an Assistant Professor of English at the Haute École de la Province de Liège. A B.A.E.F. alumnus, his research deals with all aspects of the metaphysical detective story in the USA and in France as well as with detective series and glocalization. Dechêne has published in English, French, and Spanish in journals such as Crime Fiction Studies, The Journal of Popular Culture, Clues, and MFS. Most notably, he is the author of Detective Fiction and the Problem of Knowledge (Palgrave MacMillan, 2018) and the co-editor with Michel Delville of the first volume dedicated to the genre in French: Le Thriller métaphysique d'Edgar Allan Poe à nos jours (Presses Universitaires de Liège, 2016).
