Biography
Eric Le Coguiec is an architect, has a PhD in architecture and has taught architecture and visual arts at various universities in Canada (Carleton University, Université du Québec à Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke) before joining the University of Liege in 2017. His research, influenced by Cultural Studies in particular, approaches architecture with attention to its political and social role and its cultural significance. He has recently worked on the influence of Instagram on architectural production and is pursuing research on the intersections of political, social, economic ecologies and architectural drawings. He has been conducting research for the past decade on the connections between institutional political (and their tools) and the evolving theoretical framework of Research Through Design and Recherche Création.
