The Legal Affairs Department accompanies the members of the university community by ensuring in particular:
- the negotiation and drafting of contracts
- legal counsel
- the establishment of regulations and statutes
- dispute resolution
- insurance management
- the follow-up of legislation
- relations with external legal professions (lawyers, notaries,...)
These services are provided more particularly in the following fields:
- Research agreements and services for third parties
- Intellectual property (patents, copyrights)
- Internet and privacy
- Taxation of property and persons
- Social law issues (social status of persons)
- Procurement, Purchasing and Expenditure Commitment
- Insurance of property and persons (subscriptions and claims management)
- Real estate (occupations, rentals, leases and sales)
- student internships and researcher stays
